Meet the team


  • SR. DONNA L. CIANGIO, O.P.

    Sister Donna L. Ciangio, O.P. is a member of the Sisters of St. Dominic of Caldwell, NJ and the Director of Church Leadership Consultation. She is also an adjunct faculty member of the Doctor of Ministry program at Drew University in Madison, NJ.


    For many years, Sister Donna served as the Director of Pastoral Services at the National Pastoral Life Center in New York City. In this role, she was responsible for formation for pastors, small faith community training, conference development, and diocesan and parish staff consulting and planning services.


    Sister Donna has also worked in parish pastoral ministry and education ministry in urban and suburban parishes. As the national coordinator and international coordinator of RENEW, a parish renewal process begun by the Archdiocese of Newark, she provided training and support to diocesan and parish leaders in over a hundred dioceses around the world.


    Sister Donna is involved in many professional organizations and community activities. She serves on the Caldwell University Board of Trustees and the Advisory Board for the Department of Pastoral Ministry at the College.

    She has served as the Chairperson of the North American Forum for Small Christian Communities and a member of the Waterfront Planning Task Force for the Archdiocese of Newark.


    Sister Donna earned a B.A. in Fine Arts and a B.A. in Religious Studies from Caldwell University. She received her M.A. in Fine Arts from New York University and her Doctor of Ministry, cum laude, from Drew University. She also holds Teacher Certification in the states of New Jersey and New York.

  • Sister Nancy Fischer, SSJ

    Co-CHAIR

    Sister Nancy Fischer, SSJ is a Sister of St. Joseph from Northwestern Pennsylvania.  She is a former junior high Social Studies teacher and School Social Worker.  She came to the diocese of Erie to become the Director of RENEW.  


    Following RENEW she remained at the diocese to be the Director for Small Communities and Lay Ministry Training. She has continued to promote small communities both local and nationally for the last thirty years.  


    She is also a member of the board of the National Alliance of Parishes Restructuring into Small Communities.  She holds degrees in Elementary Education, Social Work and a Masters in Pastoral Ministry.

  • Justin huyck

    Justin Huyck is Editor for Pastoral and Parish Resources at Liturgical Press. He previously served in parish ministry for fifteen years and also as Director of Communications for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown. Justin's ministry experience has encompassed a wide spectrum of parish life and pastoral initiatives, including liturgy, RCIA, faith formation across the lifespan, youth and young adult ministries, and ecumenical and interfaith projects. He is also on the Board of Directors for the National Community of Catechetical Leaders.


    Justin is the author of two resources from Little Rock Scripture Study: From Home to Home: Finding Meaning in Mobility and Baptism: Alive in Christ. He is a graduate of Cornell University and holds an M.A. in Theology and Liturgy from the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. He and his wife are the parents of two children.

  • Diane Kledzik

    Diane Kledzik has served at the Diocese of St. Petersburg’s Pastoral Center since 1998, currently in the role of Director for Marriage and Family Life.  Her prior ministry work consists of 14 years in Youth Ministry on the parish (Dioceses of St. Petersburg and Orlando) and diocesan (Diocese of Venice) levels and 20 years as the Diocesan Leader for Small Christian Communities, Evangelization and Adult Faith Formation in the Diocese of St. Petersburg.  


    Diane has a Certificate in Youth Ministry and an Advanced Studies in Ministry Certificate from the Center for Ministry Development and holds an MA in Pastoral Ministry from St. Thomas University in Miami, FL. 


    Diane has been a member of a DOSP Pastoral Center SCC since Pentecost 1999, been a member of several parish SCCs for over 30 years and serves her parish as Infant Baptism Ministry catechist.  Diane serves NAFSCC as Membership Coordinator.

  • J. david mcnamara

    Born just north of Detroit, Michigan, he earned Bachelor of Arts (English) and Master of Arts (Theology) degrees from the University of Detroit before departing for South America where he performed as principal French Horn with symphony orchestras in Colombia and Venezuela.Later, he occupied similar positions with orchestras in Mexico, Costa Rica, Canada, and the United States.


    During the past 28 years living in Las Cruces, he worked with the Diocese of Las Cruces as Director of Elementary Catechesis, Director of Ministries, Director of Education and Formation,Director of Communications, Supervisor of the diocesan newspaper “Agua Viva,” and LeadDiocesan Photographer. While engaged by the Diocese he earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. 


    In addition, he was retained by the United States District Court in Las Cruces over twelve years as a courtroom interpreter (English/Spanish). Currently, he devotes attention to his photographic business, Photos by J. D. McNamara, specializing in event photography and portraiture.

  • Bob Metz

    Co-CHAIR

    Bob Metz from the Diocese of St. Petersburg, FL., is the Director of Evangelization and Adult Faith Formation at Saint Justin Martyr Parish. He is also responsible for Adult Faith Formation and a Pathways process that develops people for ministry at his home parish Holy Family in St. Pete.

     

    Bob in his professional career was the Corporate Director of Quality Assurance for the Celotex Corp, a five division building products company. Since retirement he has become a consultant for roofing manufacturers in the roofing industry beginning in 2001. Bob who has a MBA and a degree in chemistry is also a graduate of The Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute in St. Petersburg.

     

    Bob has been involved in SCCs at the parish level since 1984 and has been on the St. Petersburg Diocesan Core Community since 2001. He joined the NAFSCC in November 2013. 


    Bob was appointed Treasurer of NAFSCC in early 2018. He truly supports and embraces the whole SCC process from SCCs to Sunday Eucharist to Ministry and Mission.
